Dan has been a golf instructor since 1993, when he gave lessons as an Assistant Professional at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus. During his time at Harrison Lake, from -1996, Dan taught under PGA Master Professional Tony Clecak. It was during this time that Dan developed a strong interest in Junior Golf Programs, which has remained a major part of his teaching programs to this day. From 1997-2003, Dan worked with over 500 students at both Walnut Creek Golf Courses and Edgewood Country Club. In 2004, Dan became the Head PGA Professional at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, and in 2006 added the title of Director of Instruction. Each year Dan coordinates and teaches six collegiate level golf classes per semester called, "Golf: For Business and Life". Dan has worked with over 1,400 students in this class alone. In 2005, and again in 2007, Dan attended the PGA: Teaching and Coaching Summit. One of the best parts of going to these Summit's, was realizing the importance of technology with teaching. Dan utilizes the V1 Video system for those wanting swing analysis. In addition to his teaching expertise, Dan is also proficient in club fitting and repair services. In 2009, Dan was certified as a Club Repair Technician from Mitchell Golf. If private lessons aren't for you, Dan and his staff provide opportunities for Golf Clinics, such as the Get Golf Ready program from the PGA Play Golf America Program. In 2011, Ross was recognized by Golf Digest as one of the " Best Teachers in the State", as voted on by other Professionals in Indiana.

Brent joined the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex professional staff in March 2004 and has been employed at the BBGC since 2000. Brent has helped more hundreds of students learn the game of golf in the Purdue University course "Golf: For Business and Life". He offers private and group instruction to beginner and novice golfers, including ladies, seniors and juniors. Brent also assists with coordinating and teaching Golf Clinics and Junior Golf Programs. Conner joined the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex professional staff in June 2012 after being previously employed at the BBGC from 2008-2011. Conner was previously an Assistant Professional at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Florida where had the opportunity to study under Golf Digest Top 30 Instructor, John Bierkan, and at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. Conner is originally from Terre Haute, Indiana and gradutated from Purdue in 2011. He has taught "Golf: For Business and Life" at Purdue and also has experience instructing Golf Clinics and Junior Golf Programs. Brian Brodell, PGA Brian Brodell is in his first season as an assistant coach on the Purdue staff after being hired in August 2011. Prior to his arrival in West Lafayette, Brodell served as assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, his alma mater, from 2007-2011. During his tenure, he helped lead the Badgers to a 2008 NCAA Regional appearance. During his tenure with UW, Brodell was also a teaching professional at the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison. Brodell also served as an assistant professional at Butte Des Morts Country Club in Appleton, Wis., from 2004-07. An accomplished golfer, Brodell played for Wisconsin from 2001-05, playing in every event as a senior and helping the team set the program's single-season record for scoring average. He was the 1999 Wisconsin Junior Player of the Year, 2000 Wisconsin High School Player of the Year and 2003 Wisconsin State Amateur champion. Brodell became a PGA Class A Profession in 2008, and played in two National Assistant Championships and the 2010 National Club Professional Championship. In 2009, he earned a spot in the PGA Tour U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. He finished 11th at the 2007 Wisconsin State Open. At the 2009 State Open he placed 10th and was among the top five on the end-of-year Wisconsin Player of the Year points list in 2009 and 2010. Qualified again for the National Club Professional Championship coming up in California Jun 23-27. Runner-up for 2012 PGA Indiana Southern Open. Brodell has learned from the best instructors around. Steve Stricker’s father-in-law and instructor Dennis Tiziani, coached Brodell at the University of Wisconsin for two years. Jim Schuman instructor of Jerry Kelly and Fred Funk coached Brodell for his last two years of college and then Brodell coached University of Wisconsin alongside Schuman for four years.
